Müge Atabek is an experienced leader, project manager, team builder, trainer and investment/credit officer with extensive experience as commercial banker (SME and Corporate) in Bankers Trust Istanbul office, 8 years as investment banker for SME IPO’s and cross border M&A for European investors at ABN-AMRO and Garanti Yatırım Bank, and 9 years as professional trainer to hundreds of credit officers working with top 10 banks in Turkey.  
Müge Atabek has also assumed chief operating officer responsibility for Private Equity fund Actera Partners LP. She led advisory team of bankers, legal counsellors, and auditors to serve Privatization Administration in several privatization project ranging from telecommunication, refractory brick (Central Anatolia), fertilizer (East Marmara), tractor (Cast Marmara, Central Anatolia, Eastern Anatolia) manufacturing plants, ports et al. She has given seminars to entrepreneurs in Gaziantep, Urfa, Kahramanmaraş, Konya, Trabzon and Ankara about analyzing company financials, investment opportunities to support the MSME development in Turkey as requested by SMB and ISE.

With 30 years of experience working in Turkey, she has worked extensively with local financial institutions, public authorities and banking professionals and has an excellent understanding of the local market conditions and the opportunities and challenges currently facing Turkish companies. Müge Atabek has been involved in the establishment of GRE Turkey and member of DEIK for many years. Müge Atabek has an MBA from Manchester Business School and is an excellent communicator, with strong communication skills and very high command of both English and her native Turkish.

Nüzhet Atabek serves as General Partner at MAGG. Prior to foundation of MAGG, Mr. Atabek was the CEO of Ray Sigorta, a subsidiary of Vienna Insurance Group. Mr. Atabek led the one-year transition period before the sale involving organizational change and foundation of marketing, IT, HR, logistics and control functions . He also coordinated data room and due diligence activities during the sale. He continued his services post merger for 3 years, harmonized business processes and strategic direction with parent, initiated solvency II works, risk management and governance. Prior to Ray, Mr.Atabek led the turnaround of Uzel Holding following 2001 crisis. He acted as a member of Holding Executive Committee and member of board of directors in subsidiaries. During his 3-year tenure, he restructured $100mm debt, helped divestitures of construction, tourism, wheel businesses within South Eastern Europe and Turkey, and acquisition of a tractor manufacturer in Germany. He witnessed sales growth from $100mm to $500mm until 2005.

Mr.Atabek founded, raised angel investors' fund and sold dot.com businesses before 2001, including fonmarket.com. He acquired a solid understanding of internet related technologies and business models. He also co-founded a fintech company Fideas in 2016.

Prior to his entrepreneurial works, Mr. Atabek had been in investment banking business serving as deputy CEO of TMB, a subsidiary of Bankers Trust. He introduced syndicated commercial loans locally and managed several M&A’s. He was also responsible for establishing leasing and factoring arms of the bank. Mr. Atabek was MT at Interbank and served as an associate in strategic planning and Budget department, and subsequently worked as a sales officer prior to his investment-banking career.


Mr. Atabek received a BS Business Administration from Bosphorus University and PMD at Harvard Business School.
